"I’ll wait.” Titus straightened his shirt and sat down again.
Jeffery trembled, wanting nothing more than to pass out now. Now that Wesley was wounded and sent away, how was he supposed to face Titus alone?
If Titus lay a hand on him, would he end up like Wesley as well?
When he thought of Wesley’s injuries, he became uneasy and frightened.
Should he pretend to faint? That way, Wade could cancel this meeting.
Just as he was thinking about it, Catherine suddenly came over with concern. "Dad, what's wrong? You're not feeling faint from the shock, right?"
Jeffery, who was about to pretend to faint, was speechless.
"Dad, you can't faint,” Catherine said worriedly. "If you faint, how will you inherit Rebecca’s hundreds of billions worth of shares?”
Jeffery was so disgusted that he could vomit blood. If other people were not around, he would have slapped Catherine to death.
"Hundreds of billions worth of shares?” Titus played with the diamond ring on his ring finger and let out a deep laugh. "Why are you the one inheriting it? Who d o you think you are? A reformed prisoner?" 1
His words were loud and clear, and the conference room fell eerily quiet.
Jeffery's face went red, but he bit the bullet and said," I'm Rebecca’s father. She’s dead and has no children. According to the laws, it should be inherited by her parents."
"Are you sure you're her parent?" Titus stared at Jeffery with his deep and cold eyes. "But I clearly remember that when we were in Melbourne not long ago, you said that her father was someone else and her mother was my wife, Sheryl."
