Over the past week, Freya had been talking to Ryan every day. Even so, her heart jerked and she had butterflies in her stomach when she met him.
Forrest saw Ryan as well. After a trace of surprise flashed across his eyes. He strode toward Ryan and greeted him.
"Forrest, I'm here to fetch Freya back to The Lodge," Ryan said with a grin.
“Freya didn’t let you know about her return, so I thought of sending her over later. Now that you’re here, I'll let you fetch her back, then." Forrest said, "I have a box of Melbourne’s specialties. My parents asked me to bring it over for your family."
"Thank you, Forrest.” After Ryan had a short conversation with Forrest, he stretched out his hands t o Dani, who was in Freya’s arms.
"It's been a while since I saw Dani. Come, let me hug her."
When Dani saw him, she did not find him unfamiliar a t all. Instead, she babbled joyfully.
Freya was at a loss for words. Her arms happened to b e sore, so she handed Dani to him.
Ten minutes later, Forrest helped Freya stuff her
luggage into the backseat. Only then did he leave with his assistants.
Ryan did not bring his chauffeur along, so there was only Freya and Dani in the car.
"How did you know I'd return today?"
Freya swept her eyes over the person beside her before she started speaking.
"It's because I had the intention of finding out." Ryan softly pinched her face while smiling.
