"You should know it better than anyone else.”
Rodney's frosty gaze rested on Hans’ face. "Hah. Previously, you said your girlfriend and family disapproved of you working for me. Tell me how much Catherine paid to headhunt my former righthand man. I'm curious.”
Hans looked down and said, "Miss Jones didn't headhunt me. She hired me one week after I resigned."
“Do you think I'll buy that?" Rodney scoffed. "No wonder most of the companies who used to work with Osher have gone to Preycatheli. Also, nobody knew that Sara was looking for an agent, yet Preycatheli got ahead of me and silently secured the agreement. You must be the one who leaked it. Hans, you've worked for me for many years, and you signed a confidentiality agreement. You should be clear that I can hold you accountable for leaking the company’s confidential information even though you've resigned."
"I wasn't the one who leaked it," Hans said nonchalantly, "Don't make groundless accusations against me."
"Hah. You won't admit it, but I won’t let you off just like this."
Rodney fixed his ferocious gaze on Hans. "Freycatheli has signed an agreement with Sara, so I have no choice but to hold you accountable. Even if you have Catherine backing you, it’s no use."
Han's expression shifted a little.
"Hah."
A snort escaped Catherine's red lips. "Young Master Snow, shouldn't you investigate the matter before commenting on anything? We didn’t contact Sara of our own accord. It was Sara who assigned someone to initiate contact with us. Only then did we come over t o sign the agreement in person. If you don't believe it, you can investigate the matter and figure it out easily."
Rodney instantly pursed his lips. Two seconds later, h e said indifferently, "Catherine, you must've plotted this. I can’t get my head around why you chose to have a hand in the cosmetic field when you're managing a real estate company. If you're financially distressed, you can join Hill Corporation. Given that Freycatheli is currently a small company, what’s the point of wasting time on it?"
"How is it a waste of time? I find it very meaningful to work on a business with my good friends and lead the company to the international stage.”
Catherine said with a grin, "For someone like you who doesn’t have any good friends, you won't understand."
"Shaun doesn't seem to count me as his good friend either, huh?” Rodney clenched his fist.
