"What responsibility?" Madam Patterson said furiously, "Just get people to beat her up. Don’t let her leave Canberra with her four limbs intact."
Mr. Patterson rubbed the middle of his brows. His wife’s knowledge was too shallow.
It was probably due to her being used to living a luxurious life. Hence, she did not think too much of Eliza, an actress.
"Mom, doing that... Isn't that too inappropriate?"
Monte stammered, "It would've been fine if Eliza were the same as she was in the past. However, Dad said just now that she's the president of Neeson Corporation, Ferra Film Group’s major shareholder, and Jewell Corporation's shareholder. Look at her last identity. Any one of Jewell Corporation's shareholders can be on par with Dad."
"Jewell Corporation is no longer the same as before," Madam Patterson said. "I heard Jewell Corporation's profits last month went down by half when I was playing poker."
"The rich are still rich even after suffering a blow. Jewell Corporation is still the leader in medical resources domestically," Mr. Patterson explained. "In the face of death, will you choose Jewell Corporation or other hospitals?"
Madam Patterson had no more words.
Mr. Patterson sneered. "However, the Patterson family isn't to be bullied. Since Eliza caused Monte harm, she should present herself as compensation and get married to Monte. Think about it. She has so many resources. Isn't she stronger than the Tanner family?”
Madam Patterson widened her eyes. "Are you joking? How is she good enough for our Monte? She’s not even qualified to carry his shoes.”
"What an ignorant woman!" Mr. Patterson said angrily. "After she marries into our family, won’t everything that belongs to her become the Patterson family’s possession? If she gives birth to a child, our grandchildren can all become Jewell Corporation's shareholders. Besides, everyone knows that Monte has HIV now. Will the daughters of even slightly well-off families want to get married to him?"
Madam Patterson was exasperated.
Of course, those poor women did not deserve to get married to Monte.
"Dad, I understand." Monte clenched his fists. Hatred filled his eyes. "I’ll marry her. After that, I'll repay her with the treatment she gave me."
