At this moment, it was as though the Range Rover had gone crazy. It hit the smaller cars that were blocking it out of its way and emerged, chasing after them like a bull.
"F*ck, they must be crazy." Steven punched the steering wheel.
On a usual day, he could show off his driving skills in spacious places.
However, he could not do that on the highway. There were many big cars. If things went badly, someone might die.
The judge would not let them go after they caused a pile-up just because they were escaping for their lives.
Steven was scared, but the people in the car behind him had gone mad.
They did not even care about the commoners' lives.
Charity could confirm that the driver of the car behind them was definitely Huxley.
The Range Rover quickly caught up with her Audi A8 like a cat chasing after a
mouse.
“Miss Robbins, what do we do now?" Steven asked in a serious manner. "If he really hits us, our car won't be able to go up against a Range Rover. It even has a long wheelbase like a truck."
"Let's continue driving and see if we can throw him off." Charity clenched her first. Guilt shone in her eyes. "I'm sorry to have dragged you all into this."
Taryn bit her lip and did not say a word. People in her line of work did not prioritize their lives from the start. However, she would be dissatisfied if she were to die just like this.
"Don’t worry, Miss Robbins. I won't give up on protecting your safety until the last moment."
Steven focused his attention and watched the front. He found an opening. He speedily went to the lane on the left and went in front of a lorry. However, the Range Rover caught up in a split second. The lorry caused another rear-end collision because it did an emergency brake.
"What the f*ck?! He's insane." Cold sweat broke out on Steven’s forehead.
Taryn clenched her fists. "It seems like he's really going to make a move on the bridge. It’s a river. We’ll surely die if we fall."
How's the traffic on the bridge now?"
Charity asked.
"It isn’t congested, but there are many cars."
Steven gritted his teeth. "We can avoid this danger, but it might cause the others on the road to get into an accident and they may even die. Do you still want to give it a try, Miss Robbins?”
Charity leaned against the backseat. Her whole body broke out in a cold sweat.
She was not afraid of any means of death, except for drowning to death.
