It was Charity's first time seeing Madam Jewell.
When Charity just got into a relationship with Chester, she thought that his mother would not like her if she got married to Chester one day.
She never thought that she would one day meet Chester's mother in this manner.
Max rapidly stood in front of Charity. "Eliza just woke up. Madam Jewell, we’re very thankful to Chester for saving Eliza too. Having said that, saving Eliza was his own decision. It has nothing to do with Eliza."
Madam Jewell took a glimpse of Max, who stood up for Eliza, before she glanced at Eliza in the wheelchair. Then, she became more furious. "You usually use such a tactic to fool around with men, don’t you? You first did it to Monte, then it was my son's turn. Now, it's this man here. Eliza, you can do black magic, huh? Do you think I don't know what kind of a person my son is? I'm sure you're as scheming as Sarah who was sentenced previously. If anything happens to my son, I'll surely make you suffer"
"Please mind your words. Eliza and I are just friends. Also, she didn’t seduce Chester," Max criticized with a long face.
Cindy, who had been quiet, suddenly said in a strange manner, "Young Master Jewell hates Eliza to the core. He only treats her as a tool to vent. How is it possible for him to risk his life to save such a woman? Stop kidding. Eliza, despite having worked with you, I never knew that you practiced black magic until today."
Charity was indeed speechless.
She never thought that these people would compare her to Sarah.
Chester was smart, so why was his mother out of her mind?
"You're making such accusations, but do you have evidence?” Charity said coldly," Don't block me. It was Chester's decision to save me. I didn't beg him to do that. Please move aside."
"What did you say?" Madam Jewell gasped. "I've never seen such a cold-blooded person like you."
Madam Jewell was usually a good-tempered person. However, she was trembling with anger at that moment. Her face suddenly paled, and it was as if she was going to faint.
"Madam Jewell..." Frightened, Cindy quickly asked the medical staff to help out.
When Madam Jewell was hurriedly sent for emergency aid, Cindy even glared at Charity ferociously. "Chester is still under emergency treatment, yet you treated his mother like that. I've never seen such a merciless woman like you."
