What replied Catherine was silence, so she asked again, "Are you going?"
"Mm? I will." Charity returned to her senses and said, "I'll go with you."
"Okay."
After Catherine finished her meal, she drove to pick Charity up.
It was nighttime when Charity stood at her neighborhood's entrance wearing a coffeecolored coat. She seemed like she was deep in thought, with her hand dancing in the night breeze.
Catherine drove the car up to Charity and honked. However, Charity was in a daze and did not seem to hear it.
"Let's go, Charity." Catherine had to stretch her head out and called out to her.
Charity snapped back to her senses, got in the car, and looked backward. There were clothes and toiletries in the backseat.
"I’m guessing Shaun will be staying at the hospital tonight, so I brought some stuff for him," Catherine explained.
Charity lowered her gaze. "Logically speaking, I'm supposed to be accompanying Chester. After all, he saved my life."
"You only got discharged recently, so you should recuperate at home. Besides, you’re a woman. It's not too convenient for you to care for a man." Catherine consoled her. " Especially... Since you're not planning to get back together with Chester, it's better to keep a distance from him." "Yeah.” Charity leaned against the seat and felt guilty as she looked out the window. "It's all my fault. If I didn't let Ken protect me today, he would've been at Chester's side. If I gave up on my voting rights, the situation wouldn't have turned out like this."
"Don't be guilty. The person who should feel guilty is Hunter. He's trash."
Catherine scolded him throughout the journey.
Chester was unconscious and on an IV drip when they arrived at the hospital. Shaun said, "He woke up for a short while in the evening, but because his leg was in extreme pain, I told the doctor to give him painkillers. After that, he fell asleep."
Catherine asked, "Have you contacted the doctors in Country R?"
Shaun nodded "We'll send Chester over first thing tomorrow morning. I've already prepared a private airplane. I might have to be there for about half a month."
"Be careful, and don't fool around there."
Catherine took the opportunity to yank him out of the ward.
