Chester and Shaun exchanged glances, and both felt guilty.
Hence, Shaun quickly opened the door and said with a serious expression, “Wifey, be careful of what you say. Chester said his leg hurt, so I closed the door to check his condition.”
Upon hearing that, Catherine said in a serious tone, “Is it bad? Do we need to return to the hospital to get it checked?”
“Maybe he overdid it when he was practicing walking earlier in the morning.” Shaun made it sound like the truth.
“Take it slow. Your body hasn’t fully recovered,” Catherine said to Chester in a rare, pleasant tone.
“Shaun told me off just now too.” A sigh escaped Chester’s lips, and he spoke earnestly.
Shaun could not resist giving him a sideways glance.
Chester’s acting skills could win him an award.
“Alright. I’ll ask Ken to keep an eye on you. Ryan and I are going to make lunch.” Shaun rolled his sleeves up, revealing his firm arms.
“You guys are cooking?” Chester was astonished.
Shaun glanced at his wife. Then, he held a fish to his mouth and coughed. “Do you know why Ryan and I can get a wife? It’s because we lower ourselves before our wives. We’re as lowly as dust.”
“When did I tell you to be as lowly as dust?” Catherine ground her teeth and pretended to pinch Shaun’s ear angrily.
With that, the husband and wife went out. Shaun went to his wife’s side and whispered, “I was kidding. I even transformed into the master last night and got on top of you.”
“Pervert.” Catherine glared at him with blushing cheeks.
Chester watched the scene from behind, feeling sad to have had to witness such a lovey-dovey scene.
