Best Revenge: Being My Ex-Boyfriend’s Aunt novel Chapter 2921

After Charity managed to deal with Larissa perfunctorily, she wheeled Chester out. At the sight of the man’s haggard look, she was filled with a mix of emotions.

Even though she had promised to get back together with Chester, she had never thought about how to get along with him.

Over the last few days, she did not bother about him since Larissa had just completed her surgery. Even so, he came to look for her of his own accord.

“Charity, I just wanted to see if Mrs. Robbins was recovering well.” Chester pursed his thin lips. After pausing for two seconds, he said gently, “Also… I’ve missed you. Do you…”

As much as he wanted to ask whether she had missed him, he was self-aware, so he bit his tongue.

Charity was at a loss for words.

She felt as though she were a dull machine. In the face of such sweet words, she had no idea how to express herself.

“Ahem. Charity, you’re not backing out, are you?” Chester extended his hand and held her injured hand nervously and gently. “You can’t go back on your word. I’ll have you know that my heart is weak now. I might not be able to withstand this.”

“I’m not planning to back out.”

Charity looked at his gentle, handsome face with mixed feelings. “I’m not used to how you’re behaving now.”

Back when they were in a relationship, he had always kept cool and elegant. Hence, now that he suddenly became a… flatterer, she had no idea how to deal with him.

“What’s wrong with my behavior?” Chester was dumbfounded. “Do you hope for me to insult and criticize you like how I did back then? Or do you hope that I’ll pamper you like how I did when you were 18?”

“No. I’m not a masochist.” Charity was speechless. “I haven’t thought about how to get along with you. I’m just not used to it.”

“No worries. You’ll eventually get used to it. Just don’t break up with me.” Chester laughed and said with his eyes fixed on her hand, “Does your hand still hurt? When are you going to have your stitches removed?”
