Cindy’s face suddenly paled, and she felt like her body was soaked in an ice bath in winter.
After half a minute, Cindy lifted her face. “I didn’t con your mom out of her money. She gave it to me willingly.”
“Even up to now, you still refuse to admit it, huh?” Chester questioned coldly, “Cindy, you really won’t admit it until you’re faced with a grim reality.”
“Mr. Jewell, don’t accuse me.” Cindy clenched her fists. “What you said doesn’t count unless your mom personally tells the police that I conned her. After all, the money belongs to Madam Jewell.”
Chester fixed her a death stare. He had never hated a woman so much.
With that, Madam Jewell was summoned to the police station.
On her way there, she heard about the incident from Ken and had never expected that Cindy would con her.
She honestly felt that she had always treated Cindy well and like she was her biological daughter.
However, when her husband was in trouble, Cindy came to con her out of the remaining money she had.
Fortunately, Cindy was arrested.
The moment Madam Jewell caught sight of Cindy, she rushed toward her in anger.
Before she could slap Cindy, the latter said, “Madam Jewell, have you forgotten that you gave me the money to thank me for donating blood to you over the years?”
The sentence served as a stark reminder for Madam Jewell that if Cindy went to jail, no one would donate blood to her.
Where would she find someone like Cindy who would transfer blood to her?
