Chapter 29 Is Money All You Care about? 

Edison returned to the Moonlight Villa with Gwenyth. 

Edison walked quietly on a tree-lined path in the villa community, with Gwenyth following. 

He walked very slowly, listening to Gwenyth's footsteps. It seemed that he went back to several years ago when he was in college and Gwenyth was in high school...

"Why did you stop?" 

"I have something to ask you." 

Edison became serious.

"What do you want to ask?" 

"If I terminate the contract and ask you to sincerely date me, will you agree?" 

Gwenyth was stunned for a while and calmed down.

Her mother had taught her a lesson. She would not be trapped in her relationship with Edison. She had a different family background from Edison, and they would not have a happy ending.

"Do you want to terminate the contract?"

"Is money all you care about?" 

"I signed the contract with you because of money. I hope Mr. Yates will not want to develop a romantic relationship with me just because of one-night stand. I'm not interested in you." 

Edison smiled with self-deprecation. 

He thought, 'I might have been crazy.' 

'Gwenyth had sex with me four years ago and left without saying goodbye. Yet I still want to date her sincerely. Isn't it ridiculous?' 

"Miss Lovelace, don't get me wrong. What I said just now doesn't mean anything else. It's good that you're not interested in me. After all, I am too good for you." 

With an indifferent expression, Edison turned around and strode forward. 

He had long legs and walked fast and hurriedly. 

Gwenyth trotted all the way and barely managed to catch up with him. 

After entering the villa, Gwenyth only saw Edison going upstairs. 

Then the door swung shut with a bang.
