Chapter 7 She Will Suffer a Lot

John looked up at the woman in the corner. The light in the room was a little dim. Gwenyth was almost sitting in the darkness, with only a small beam of light shining on her side face.

Her nose was delicate and small, but very straight, and the outline of her side face looked perfect in that beam of light.

"What's your relationship with Eddie?" John asked.

Gwenyth glanced at him. When she was still thinking about how to answer this question, the door of the private room was pushed open.

Edison came in.

He wore a black shirt and black pants, with the sleeves of his shirt rolled up casually, revealing his strong wrists. The watch on his wrist was worth millions of dollars, and the clothes he wore were all branded. Although he was in cold black, he didn't look low-key at all.

"Eddie, the person waiting for you is over there." John raised his chin at Gwenyth.

Edison just glanced in that direction and sat on the sofa. He took out a gold-plated cigarette box from his pocket, opened it, and took out a cigarette.

Then he fiddled with his platinum lighter. Instead of lighting the cigarette, he looked at the corner.

"Come and sit here!" Edison said.

Gwenyth stood up and sat next to him, keeping a slight distance from him.

Edison frowned. He lit the cigarette and put his arm around Gwenyth's shoulders.

With great might, he held Gwenyth into his arms and slowly exhaled some smoke. He then raised his eyebrows and smiled at John. "Let me introduce my girlfriend, Gwenyth Lovelace."

"What did you say?" John exclaimed.

"Go and cure yourself if you are deaf," said Edison.

It was known to all that Edison's girlfriend was Nancy. After all, it had been a trending topic for several days.

John asked in confusion, "How many girlfriends do you have?"

"You're really ill-informed."

Edison hinted for John to check his phone.

John picked up his cell phone and opened Twitter. He found that a few hours ago, Edison had posted something and mentioned Nancy, saying that they had broken up.

After Gwenyth signed the agreement, the news of Edison and Nancy's breaking up news was immediately released.

It caused an uproar on Twitter.

Nancy had been calling Edison. However, Edison just silenced his phone and ignored her no matter how many calls she made or how many messages she sent.

"Really?" John asked in disbelief.

"Sure," said Edison.

Nancy's fame suddenly soared, and she became famous just because her relationship with him was known to the public.

Edison had already sent someone to investigate it and found out that Nancy was behind all this.

She was using him to get fame and resources.

After that, she even refused his proposal.

Edison believed that she was simply regarding him as a pushover.

"You like Nancy, don't you?" John was even more confused.

Edison covered Gwenyth's ears with his warm hands and said, "Mr. Hawe, it's inappropriate to say that in front of my current girlfriend, isn't it?"

Although her ears were covered, Gwenyth could still hear Edison's voice.

She was taken aback and didn't know how to react.

Nancy and Edison had been in love for three years. It was impossible for them not to like each other.
