Bride Behind the Mask novel Chapter 753

Teresa said, planting two quick kisses on Frederick's cheeks.

The man pulled his little girl closer, "My daughter is so clever and quirky, just like your mom."

Teresa giggled, "Of course! Who do you think I got it from?"

"So, your mom knew about this a while ago?"

The little one pouted and shook her head.

"Mommy only found out a few days ago! She came here to tell you!

Daddy, can you please make up with Mommy? She really loves you, and it breaks her heart to see you upset!"

In that moment, Frederick's heart began to ache as if it were on fire.

He remembered the times she had tried to say something to him, but the words seemed to always stop short.

So, she had crossed oceans to find him, seizing this last chance.

She was betting that knowing Teresa was his daughter would bring them back together, no matter what.

But this foolish woman, she had never really lost.

He loved her and had never stopped.

It was he who had failed to see his own heart clearly, missing the best chance to reconcile.

Teresa, noticing his deep expression, quickly adjusted his face and asked:

"Daddy, hasn't Mommy told you yet?"

Frederick smiled and shook his head: "I haven't had the chance to hear it."

"I knew it! Mommy's been in Veracoria for days and hasn't told you. But it's good I came, or who knows how long she would have kept it from you."

Teresa smiled contentedly, kissing Frederick's forehead again.

"But everything can still be made right, can't it, Daddy?"
