Jack immediately turned his gaze towards the SUV, but unfortunately, the man had already put on a face mask, making him invisible.
Jack didn't have time to question whether Tyler's words were true or false; he just followed him, running towards the SUV.
Sadly, just as they got close to the back of the vehicle, the imposing SUV sped away.
In the rearview mirror, the reflection of two little figures stumbling and chasing after the car could be seen, but Oliver didn't notice.
He unconsciously sped up and, without realizing it, successfully shook off the two kids.
Meanwhile, elsewhere.
Tyler finally stopped, reluctantly, his small hands propped on his knees as he gasped for air.
Looking up, the SUV had completely disappeared into the traffic, and he felt helpless.
Jack struggled to catch up, his breathing even louder than Tyler's, he said in between gasps:
"Tyler, I've been thinking, I'm sure you must have seen it wrong!"
Tyler stubbornly furrowed his brows, shaking his head: "I didn’t see it wrong!"
"But how could that be? Just yesterday in the office, didn't we see what his dad looks like? His dad is super ugly, with a face all burned!"
Tyler quickly recovered, calmly explaining to Jack:
"I heard my mom talking... a long time ago, about people wearing realistic masks. These masks can be very deceiving... What if his dad was wearing one of those masks?"
Jack hesitantly looked at him, "You suspect Margot's dad is actually our dad?"
"Yes!"
"But I still think it's unlikely."
Jack’s naive brows knitted into a comical "S", incessantly voicing his own reasons:
"If it really was our dad, why wouldn't he recognize us? And Margot isn't Teresa, you know! Teresa is so pretty, and Margot, well, she’s not exactly a looker! You must have been mistaken!"
