However, the bullet did not hit Axel.
“Ugh. It hurts…” Alyssa, who had shown up from nowhere, hugged Axel tightly. The bullet had
hit her in the left shoulder.

“Lyse!” Axel looked at Alyssa frantically and held her frail shoulder. When he checked his hand, it
was stained with her blood.
Taking a sharp breath, he felt an immense hatred and heartache in him.
“Landon Harper, I will kill you-”
Stunned, Landon let go of the simulated gun. He didn’t have time to react to Alice’s sudden appearance. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have fired the bullet.
“Axel Alyssa lay limply in Axel’s arms and rested her head on her shoulder. She said through gritted teeth, “If… If you want me to call you my brother… get away from here, right now! I’ll never forgive you otherwise.”

Alyssa glared at him and shoved him away. He felt a shot of pain through his heart. It dawned on. him that he had truly angered Alyssa this time. If he refused to listen to her, she might never see
