After Magdalena left, Bella suddenly realized Dominic might come over anytime. That meant he might stay overnight.

But recalling his icy, businesslike demeanor from before, she figured he wouldn't want to have sex with her. Besides, she didn't have much allure as a pregnant woman, so this relaxed her mind a little.

On the day of her prenatal check-up, he arrived at her home and took her to the hospital.

The obstetrics and gynecology department was crowded, with pregnant women everywhere. They had to wait in line. Dominic remained at her side the entire time with no complaints. Although he got several work-related calls, he kept them brief.

When it was finally Bella's turn, he led her to the consultation room.

Most pregnant women had their husbands with them, which made things a little awkward for her, given their relationship.

Her pregnancy wasn't too far along, so it didn't seem essential for him to be with her.

Once the doctor completed the prenatal tests, he turned to Dominic and said, "The baby is healthy, and you've passed the critical first trimester. You can start having sex now."

Upon hearing this, Bella's mind went blank, and she only wanted to grab the test sheet and leave as quickly as possible. However, Dominic seemed unfazed and thanked the doctor before taking her tests.

The results came back that the baby was normal.

There was also an ultrasound of the fetus this time, but before Bella could even take a proper look at it, Dominic snatched it away.

She squinted at him teasingly. "Do you even know how to read that?"

Given that she was a doctor, she was more confident in this area than he was.
