Crushed Affections (Dominic and Bella) novel Chapter 431

For some reason, Bella couldn't help but think about the photo she saw in Zion's wallet. She asked, "Was he the one who initiated things? How far did the two of you go?"

Lia recalled what had happened. "That's right. I'm just a woman. How could I possibly be the one to take the initiative in such things? Also, the only thing we've ever done is kiss…"

Bella massaged her temples, feeling helpless. In the end, she decided to be frank and said, "The next time he comes, you should check if the photo he keeps in his wallet is still there.

"You two have only known each other for a very short amount of time. Do you know how small the chances are for someone to fall in love at first sight? Let alone the chances for two people to fall at the same time.

"I'm a firm believer that feelings can grow over time. I know that there's still a long road ahead for the both of you, but I don't want him to have someone in his heart still while he's dating you. It'll just be unfair toward you."

Lia's eyes flickered slightly. "A-Are you trying to tell me that he already has someone he likes? But since he's going to marry me, doesn't that mean he'll never have a chance to be with the person he likes?

"You've also said it yourself—feelings can grow over time. I'm willing to give him as much time as he needs."

At that moment, Bella felt like Lia had matured. She thought that her friend was no longer that impulsive and fiery woman. Bella knew that she did not have to worry about Lia anymore.

Suddenly, there was a knock on their door. Carla cautiously looked through the peephole before opening the door.

A tall man in a black suit handed Carla several large gift bags.

The man said respectfully, "These are a few tokens of appreciation from Mr. Morse. As Mr. Morse is busy and cannot drop by himself, he has asked me to deliver his regards to Ms. Jones."

Bella wasn't sure if the "Mr. Morse", the man was referring to meant Victor or Sean, so she went to the door and asked, "Are you referring to Victor Morse?"

The man nodded. "That's right."

Bella felt slightly uneasy as she had already owed Victor one. After all, Hallie had already bought a lot of clothes for her and her child.

Now that Victor had sent over many supplements for her pregnancy, she felt overwhelmed by the amount of kind gestures they had showered her with.
