Dominic suddenly said, "If you're feeling stuffy and bored, you can ask Carla to go out with you.
"You should avoid crowded places as there are too many people and there's a higher chance for something to go wrong. Also, you must come home after two hours."
Bella raised an eyebrow at him. Those uncrowded kinds of places he was referring to weren't affordable for most people and were very expensive. She did not have that type of money to spend.
"I'm just a normal citizen, so it's more suitable for me to go to such places. I can't really understand the spending habits of rich people like you."
Dominic shot her a warning glance. "Don't nitpick my words just to argue with me. I've given Carla my card. You can use it however you like."
For some reason, ever since Bella had become pregnant, she seemed to develop a rebellious streak. The more Dominic disliked her arguing with him, the more she wanted to do it.
She lazily stirred her bowl of oatmeal and said casually, "Dominic, in your eyes, there's nothing that money can't solve. You think that you'll be able to move people and mountains by giving them money."
He didn't bother arguing with her but retorted, "That's not entirely true. I gave you money, but you still refuse to get back together with me."
Bella treated their exchange as an appetizer before breakfast, and it actually piqued her appetite as she ate half a bowl more than usual.
Dominic had been observing her throughout breakfast and remarked with a hint of amusement, "You don't usually have an appetite. Is it because no one is here to argue with you?"
Bella humored him and said, "Probably. If you have time, you should argue with me more often. It'll boost my appetite, which will also be good for your child."
Dominic looked at her exasperatedly before picking up his coat and leaving the house.
Since he had already mentioned that she could head out, Bella did not want to stay cooped up at home either. She asked Carla to get ready and decided to go to one of the high-end, less-crowded places Dominic had suggested.
