Maja didn't say a word, but Kim felt a humiliation she'd never experienced before.

Even Silver noticed something was off. He looked up and saw Maja, momentarily at a loss for words.

He was angry.

"Maja!"

He suddenly let go of Kim and was about to rush up.

Maja frowned, not understanding the source of Silver' sudden anger.

"Mr. Carnes."

She politely called out, despite Silver' previous uncooperative behavior, she didn't want to cause a public scene.

" Maja, you are amazing, I really don't know what method you used. Samuel Brown actually revoked the contract with me for you! We've been cooperating for three years, I didn't expect this from you, I thought you were different from other women, turns out you're just the same!"

Maja's expression turned frosty.

"Mr. Carnes, you were the one who first violated the principles of cooperation. As for your business relationship with Samuel, that's between your two companies. It's not quite fair to pin the blame on me, is it?"

Silver stared back at her coldly.

"Samuel just teamed up with others against you, and now he's pampering you, even heard he had dinner with you. It seems like you're very satisfied in your personal life."

But then Kim showed up, saying she worked in the same studio as Maja. Silver was already gunning for Maja, so having an extra ally wasn't something he was going to refuse.

He looked triumphant, sizing up Maja.
