Neil's phone buzzed with a message. But he was buried in some documents and didn't notice.

Cristina handed him a cup of milk and, hearing the buzz, picked up his phone.

Neil trusted her implicitly, never keeping her away from his stuff.

"Honey, you've got a new message."

Cristina opened the message and her face changed instantly after seeing the screenshot it contained. It was from Maja.

She pursed her lips, and replied to Maja.

[She's your sister, always been frail since a kid. I owe her too. If there's anything she wants, and you can give it, just do. There's no need to get mad at her.]

That's what Neil always told Maja. So Cristina didn't feel there was anything wrong with her reply.

After sending the message, she deleted all the chat history.

She'd been hoping Tricia would stay out of trouble, but now Maja was onto her.

Neil and Tricia hadn't completely split yet. Neil wouldn't be heartless to the child left by his ex-wife, unless Maja did something completely outrageous.
