His grip tightened, and Maja suddenly felt as if all the oxygen had been sucked out of the room. She couldn't utter a single word, and a layer of sweat formed on her forehead.

Ian couldn't stand her. He was so repulsed that he didn't even want to figure out why her face had changed so drastically. She now had thick bangs and glasses, and even her clothes had become incredibly ordinary.

He chalked up all her actions that he couldn't understand to her intentionally putting on a show.

Maja felt like she might actually die at any moment as he choked her.

She looked at Ian's beautiful hands.
