When Maja saw the message, she was dumbstruck. Her gut was telling her to stay away.

And if she ever got divorced, she'd have a plan B.

She was a bit scared of Ian's intensity. He'd really wear her out.

But she didn't have a choice, so she drove to the hotel.

As soon as she entered the lobby, she bumped into Jeff on the first floor.

Seeing her, Jeff offered a friendly warning.

"Miss Penny, Mr. Raymond is in a bad mood tonight. You better tread lightly."

Hearing that Ian was in a bad mood, Maja didn't really feel like going up anymore.

When Ian was angry, he was nothing like his usual polished self.

His savagery and ruthlessness would drive her nuts.

She backed away in fear, and Jeff reminded her, "Miss Penny, if you don't go up now, Mr. Raymond will come to you tonight."

Maja lowered her lashes and slowly stepped into the elevator.

Standing outside Ian's hotel room, she was a bit scared.

Just by standing at the door, she could feel his icy aura.

She knocked, but there was no answer.

Feeling a bit nervous, she slowly pushed the door open.

Ian was sitting quietly on the sofa, his coat casually tossed aside.

A few buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned, and his messy hair slightly covered his eyes, making him look even colder.

Maja changed into the hotel's soft white slippers at the door, put her bag aside, and walked toward him.

Then she saw the bracelet on the coffee table.

Ian sat up straight, casually tossed the bracelet aside, and told her, "Go take a shower."

Maja was a bit scared of that silent Ian, but she didn't dare to say anything. The air in the room felt heavy, and so did her steps.

After she took a shower, Ian was not in the living room. The bedroom door was open.

Maja felt like a convict walking to the gallows as she headed for the bedroom.

Ian was indeed in the bedroom.
