Everyone around was gobsmacked. The traffic light had already changed, but no car budged.

Neil's car was smoking, then on fire. Someone dialed 911 immediately, and the whole scene was thrown into chaos.

Laura's eyes were red and swollen. At the moment of the collision, she was thrown by the airbag, with broken glass piercing her chest. But she was still alive.

Maja was sitting in her office, feeling a bit jittery.

Maja still thought it was a mistake, as Neil was too sick to leave the house.

After hanging up, she immediately dialed the Pennyfeather family's mansion to confirm. It turned out that Neil wanted to bring her dinner.

Maja's head went "buzz". She rushed to the hospital immediately.

Three charred bodies were laid out. The doctor was trying to comfort her on the side.

"We've examined the bodies. One was your father, Neil; one was the driver; and the other was a servant. The accident was entirely the other party's fault. The driver, Laura, is still being rescued. She's a celebrity."

Maja saw a charred hand sticking out from under the white sheet. She covered her mouth, speechless.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, we have to wait for the driver to be rescued before we can deal with this."

Maja almost fainted. She didn't have the courage to lift the sheet. After being helped to sit down, she started throwing up.

The smell of burnt flesh filled the air. She was shivering all over, feeling freezing cold.

She hugged herself, her nails almost digging into her arms.

Her teeth were chattering. As she signed the identification documents, silent tears soaked the paper.

The doctor handed her a tissue, looking a bit heartbroken.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, do you have any other family? We can call them to come pick you up."
