Thinking of Maja, Beck tentatively asked, "What are you planning to do about her?"

"I can't stand any woman who appears by Ian's side. Do you think he wants to get back with her? I heard he has a thing for her."

"If he did, he wouldn't have divorced her. His grandpa forced that on him."

"Beck, I don't care! If she's still by Ian's side in three days, I'm sending Wind to Greenfield. You know Wind has never failed me."

Beck just felt agitated, then dialed up their big brother.

A few minutes later, a detached male voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Speak."

"Big bro, Ms. Sanders plans to have Wind commit a murder in Greenfield. You're not going to do something about it?"

"Who's the target?"

"A woman by Ian's side. Ms. Sanders is very interested in Ian."

The man on the other end of the line was silent for a few seconds, flipping through some files. The sound of paper shuffling could be heard over the phone.

"Go ask Ian, under what circumstances would he marry Ms. Sanders."

Beck knew his tolerance for Ms. Sanders was limitless.

"But Ian has a woman he likes now."

"Are they married?"

"No."

"Then it doesn't count. Has Dad mentioned anything to you recently?"

"No, he just asked me to establish a good relationship with the people in Greenfield. I don't know if he's planning to set up a branch office there."

There was silence on the other end of the line for a few seconds before he said, "I think he's hiding something from us. Go contact Phelps in Greenfield. He works at the hospital. I found out Dad has been doing some shady deals with him."

Beck furrowed his brows.

"Bro, are you investigating Dad?"

"Beck, just do what I tell you."
