Beck quickly stepped in front of Maja, seeing several scattered lunch boxes on the ground. His face turned sour.

"Ian, did you ever think that this stuff could burn her face?"

Ian slid a cigarette into his mouth and nonchalantly said, "Well, at least she won't be flirting around anymore."

His words were obviously intended to mock Beck.

Holy crap!

Beck felt an itch in his fist.

Ian didn't stay there long, and he didn't even look at Maja, he just walked away.

Beck was so mad he wanted to chase after him, "Are you even a man? Bullying a woman, what kind of man does that?!”

But Maja lifted her hand, grabbing his sleeve.

Beck felt extremely disappointed.

"Penny, let go. I'm going to teach him a lesson for you."

Maja squatted down, starting to pick up the lunch boxes on the ground.

Beck felt a pang in his heart seeing this.

"I'm sorry, I didn't expect him to show up at your company."

Maja tossed the lunch boxes into a nearby trash can, and she seemed very calm.

Beck really couldn't figure out what she was thinking, and any other woman would have probably burst into tears by now. How could she be so calm?

"Penny."

"Beck."

They both spoke at the same time.

Maja wiped the soup on her chest with a napkin from a tea table nearby, and she had to change her clothes.

"Penny, you go ahead."

"He was just venting."

By he, she meant Ian.

Maja called Zoey, asked her to prepare a change of clothes, and then looked at Beck.

"He got angry because he heard what I said."

But to Beck, it seemed like Maja was defending Ian.

Even after all the nasty things Ian had said, she could still forgive him. It appeared she really cared about Ian. Asking her to leave him seemed a bit cruel. But his sister, Ms. Sanders.

"Penny, my sister, Ms. Sanders, has deep feelings for him, I'm sorry."

"No need to apologize, just remember to give me those three Hollywood spots. I'll go choose the actors now. Considering my loss, you won't be offering just any random roles, right?"
