The moment Westley stepped out, his gaze immediately found Natalia.
It was just a glance, but Natalia could see the distaste in his eyes.
This was technically the first formal encounter between Natalia and Westley.
Westley's gaze lingered on her for a moment before shifting away.
Natalia lowered her eyes and chuckled, "It's clear, your grandfather really doesn't like me."
Hamilton, holding her hand, reassured her, "As long as I like you, that's all that matters."
Natalia pursed her lips, choosing not to respond.
The atmosphere in the banquet hall was even more peculiar.
Delilah softly called out, “Hamilton.”
Hamilton, acting as if he hadn't seen her, pulled Natalia to the side.
Westley's expression instantly darkened.
"Hamilton! Come here!"
Hamilton chuckled, "What's the matter? Isn't one companion enough for grandpa?"
Westley's face turned stern, but after all, it was his birthday party, and with so many guests around, he couldn't possibly confront Hamilton in such a setting.
But Natalia, he was determined to teach her a lesson tonight.
Did she really think that just because Hamilton doted on her, she could do as she pleased?
His gaze darkened as he looked at Natalia.
"Ms. Jenkins, welcome to Hamilton and Delilah's engagement party."
Natalia's face turned pale.
Hamilton laughed.
"I am indeed getting engaged, but the person, is definitely not this Delilah."
The guests in the banquet hall were all taken aback.
Even Natalia frowned at Hamilton.
Westley's expression turned ugly instantly.
"Hamilton, do you know what you're saying?"
Hamilton laughed, "I'm not so confused that I don't understand the meaning of my own words."
Westley looked at Natalia, a flash of murderous intent in his eyes.
"Ms. Jenkins, the only granddaughter-in-law I acknowledge is Delilah. I hope Ms. Jenkins understands what I mean."
Natalia clearly understood Westley's intention; in front of so many people, he simply wanted to tell her that she wasn't worthy and couldn't possibly enter the doors of the Fowler family.
Her lips were tightly pursed.
Even the hand holding Hamilton's arm tightened unconsciously.
She had anticipated Westley making things difficult for her tonight.
But she hadn't expected to be publicly humiliated like this.
Feeling her mood, Hamilton pulled her into his arms.
He looked up, meeting Westley Fowler's gaze.
"Since you've made your stance so clear, let me also be frank, the woman I, Hamilton, want is only Natalia. The granddaughter-in-law you fancy, feel free to marry her yourself!"
With that, he directly led Natalia out.
Delilah's face changed drastically, and she quickly followed.
"Hamilton, tonight is our engagement party."
"Whoever arranged this engagement party for you, go get engaged to them!"
After saying that, Hamilton pulled Natalia away.
In the banquet hall, there were silent exchanges of looks, nobody dared to make a sound.
Everyone knew about the eldest grandson of the Fowler family's willful behavior.
But no one had expected him to be so audacious.
Westley's face darkened, and Alden quickly went to stand by the old man's side.
"Grandpa, no matter what, today is your birthday celebration; let's attend to the guests first."
Westley snorted coldly, making a statement in front of everyone.
"Tonight is the engagement party of Hamilton and Delilah, whether Hamilton attends or not, this engagement must proceed!"
Delilah's eyes filled with tears.
