Every Breath You Take novel Chapter 114

Hanging up the phone, Coco shook Leon's hand. "Uncle Gu, I didn't tell Mom about the surprise. You have to reward me!"

Coco looked at him with his beautiful eyes, which were like the brightest stars in the sky. Leon smiled, picked up Coco and kissed him, and then circled around the room.

Coco giggled. Childlike laughter filled the room. He was finally going to have a father! He was very happy as soon as he heard that. He wanted Leon to be his father. Now it was really going to happen.

Leon was tired, so he put Coco down. Coco snuggled in his arms. "Uncle Gu, you won't change your mind, will you?"

Leon reached out to rub his hair and said dotingly, "Don't worry. I won't lie to you."

"Yes! Uncle Gu, you're the best!" Coco smiled happily.

In XS Garden.

Monica took a taxi back here and started packing.

She had expected this today would come. She didn't bring too many things, so she was done in less than ten minutes.

Looking at the packed suitcase, her heart was full of joy and faint loss. She looked around the house again and recalled what Quarmy said to her here. She couldn't help but be stunned. If he hadn't lied to her last night, or he had come back instead of missing her phone call...

Maybe she would really be with him, and then tell him that Coco was his son...

"How could it be..." She shook her head and patted her face. "Monica, wake up. Don't be fooled by him again, or you will regret it."

She was reminding herself not to make the same mistake again. That man was not worthy of being trusted.

Monica resolutely walked out of here. The most important thing for her now was Coco's illness.

Monica soon went to the airport. She was so lucky that she bought a ticket at the counter. Sitting in the waiting room, she called Summer. "I'm going back to the United States."

"You're pregnant?" Summer was stunned for a moment before coming to her senses. She sighed, "Are you going to give up on him?"

Subconsciously, Summer still hoped that Monica would stay, but her happiness...

"In fact, I haven't had any hope for him since three years ago. If it weren't for my child, I wouldn't have..."

Summer also understood what she meant. "Well, then what about Leon? He has been really nice to you."

Sometimes, Summer would be jealous of Monica. If she were Monica, she would throw herself into Leon's arms immediately because he was too sweet. Monica shook her head unconsciously. "I don't deserve him."

She was certain that she would not be with Leon.

Hanging up the phone, Monica was a little absent-minded. Below Summer's number was Quarmy's. Her fingers, which wanted to press the dial key, turned a little white because of overexertion.

After a long while, she still called him. "Hello..." She said with hesitation. She felt the dryness in her mouth.

"Moni, what's wrong?" Quarmy was a little excited to receive her call.

However, she didn't say anything for a long time. Suddenly, he felt scared. He seemed to foresee something in such silence. "Moni, Moni?" He urged her in a hurry.

"I'm leaving. I'm on a plane back to America in ten minutes." This time, she wanted to break up with him directly.

Quarmy tightly held his phone and his fingertips turned white. "Why? Is it because of Leon?"

He mentioned the man's name almost without even thinking about it. After all these years, Leon was still the obstacle between them.

"Sort of." She didn't want to explain too much, but unconsciously put her hand on her lower abdomen.

"How can you treat me like this? You promised me! You promised to start over with me..." The pen in his hand pierced into his flesh. He didn't know that he was bleeding.

Monica smiled coldly, and the sadness in her heart grew. "Really? But I don't believe you... In fact, I gave you a chance... Unfortunately... we still missed each other."

They missed so much that she decided to give up.

After that, she hung up the phone, closed her eyes and silently swallowed the sadness in her heart.

"Dear passengers, hello, the XXX flight to the United States is about to take off..." It was repeated over the airport radio.

Monica stood up and walked to the ticket checking, with a hint of hope in her eyes.

When Mary walked into the office, she saw the absent-minded Quarmy. "Quarmy, what's wrong with your hand?"

She was here to give him documents. She was going abroad, so she had been handing over her work these days.

Quarmy looked up at her with a desperate smile. "We're over."

"Quarmy... What happened?"

Quarmy passed out suddenly.

In the United States.

"Mom!" Coco happily ran to Monica as soon as he saw her.

Monica got rid of all her worries when she saw Coco. She opened her arms and hugged him tightly.

"Do you miss Mom?" She asked happily.

Coco nodded crazily in her arms. "Mom, I'm very obedient. I came to pick you up today with the consent of the doctor."

Letting go of Coco, Monica's heart ached. She almost forgot that he was still a patient.

"Yes, I have already consulted the doctor. He agreed." Leon handsomely came over. It seemed that he always smiled brightly.

Monica held Coco's hand and stood up. "Leon."

Long time no see!

"Let's go back!" Leon was always straightforward.

When they arrived the Gu family, Monica saw Old Mrs. Gu and Mandy sitting in the living room. She instantly felt a little embarrassed. In fact, she did not expect that Leon would bring her directly to the Gu family.

"Hello, Old Mrs. Gu, Miss Gu." She took an awkward look at Leon.

Old Mrs. Gu stood up and sized Monica up. With a faint smile on her kind face, she said, "Coco, come

on.

Just when Monica thought she would be scolded, Old Mrs. Gu squatted down and waved at Coco.

"Grand-grandma." Coco ran over happily.

Mandy stood up and smiled. "Leon, Grandma said that we should wait for you to have dinner together. I'm starving." She complained and went to the dining table.

After dinner, Old Mrs. Gu took Monica to her room.

Old Mrs. Gu took out an exquisite box and let Monica open it. A good- quality green ring was inside. "What's this?" Monica looked at Old Mrs. Gu in confusion.

Old Mrs. Gu looked at the ring and said seriously, "This is an heirloom of our family. It's not precious. I just have to give it to my granddaughter-in-law."

"But... I!" Monica finally understood what Old Mrs. Gu meant. She looked at her in disbelief. She remembered that Old Mrs. Gu didn't want her to be with Leon. Why did she change her mind?

Old Mrs. Gu nodded with gratification and looked at her, saying, "Coco is a good child. I hope he can have a complete family and my grandson can be happy. I misunderstood you before, but now I changed my mind. It doesn't matter who my granddaughter- in- law is. What's important is my grandson's happiness."

Monica really didn't know what to say. She had suffered so much before coming back to Leon's side. But at this moment, she was already a divorced woman with two children.

Leon was so excellent. What right did she have to be with him?

"I'm sorry, Old Mrs. Gu. I'm pregnant with another man's child." At this time, she didn't know what to do except refusing.

Old Mrs. Gu was stunned for a moment, and then she sighed deeply. "I know what you have experienced over the years. It's also my fault, if not..."

"No, it has nothing to do with you. You don't have to blame yourself." Monica handed the box back to Old Mrs. Gu. After saying a lot, Monica agreed that she would think about it.

Walking out of Old Mrs. Gu's room, Monica saw Leon standing at the door. She looked at him nervously.

"I am pregnant, Leon." She did not know how to refuse him. Leon was so perfect that she didn't deserve him.

Leon raised his head and his handsome eyes became more and more charming. "You know I never care about it."

"But I care. I can't let you suffer such humiliation." She said firmly.

"You're not willing to be with me, aren't you? You still love Quarmy, right?" Leon still smiled gently.

Monica was stunned. Her intuition told her that she did not want to answer this question.

The next day, she got up very early, or it could be said that she didn't sleep at all.

Coco and Leon were doing exercises. She came to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

When Mandy got up, she received a phone call from Roland. She was very happy. "Roland, morning."

"Monica has returned to the United States, right?" Roland's question made Mandy's face suddenly darkened.

He never took the initiative to call her before. This time, he actually called her for Monica.

"Yes!" She said happily, in order not to let Roland dislike her. However, she was not so kind to Monica.

After hanging up the phone, she went downstairs, and Old Mrs. Gu also came out of the room. She ran up to Old Mrs. Gu. "Grandma."

She greeted Old Mrs. Gu warmly, but Old Mrs. Gu directly went downstairs with a faint smile on her face.

Mandy's face darkened, and she blamed it all on Monica.

In the evening, Leon and Coco suddenly disappeared. They said that they went out to shop, so Monica didn't think much about it. When she returned to the room, she called the doctor to make an appointment for a comprehensive examination the next day.
