Quarmy returned home in a heavy mood. Jenny was having soup made by Lassie. Seeing Quarmy, Jenny was really happy, so she hurriedly asked Lassie to serve him a bowl of soup.
Quarmy was not in the mood to eat. He was driven away by Coco from Roland's villa. The food and toys he bought were also thrown out by Coco. Although Coco was young, he was sensitive. In his eyes, Quarmy had become an unforgivable bad guy.
Later, Quarmy sat in the car in a daze for a long time. He had been thinking about Coco's angry face. He didn't know what to do next.
After thinking for a while, he decided to go home. He didn't drink the soup made by Lassie. He just sat there in a daze. It was not until Jenny called him a few times that he came to his senses.
"Son, what's wrong with you?" Jenny was confused. Quarmy pulled Jenny to the study room and closed the door. He sighed, "Mom, Coco knows that I am his father."
"Isn't this a good thing?" Jenny was very happy to hear that. "When will you take him home?"
"Take him home? Mom, is it that simple?" Quarmy smiled bitterly. "Coco hates me very much for abandoning him and Monica. He pointed the toy gun at me and asked me to get out. He even called me a liar..." Quarmy couldn't go on. His son's angry face and reproach were all in his mind. He was really sad.
"It's all Monica's fault. If she told the truth to Coco earlier, would he be so hostile to you?" Seeing Quarmy in such pain, Jenny naturally pushed the responsibility to Monica.
"Mom, this matter has nothing to do with Monica. I finally know why she didn't let Coco know the truth. It's because that she knew Coco would hate me."
"What do you mean?" Jenny was confused.
"Because Coco saw the news of my engagement with Madrigal on TV. Although he is young, he is not ignorant. He thinks it's me who abandoned him and Monica, and he can't forgive me."
Jenny didn't know what to say. She was responsible for the engagement of Quarmy and Madrigal. Her original purpose was to let Monica leave Quarmy. She didn't expect that this scene would be seen by her grandson.
Both of them became silent. After a while, Jenny said, "The child is still young. He will understand you when he grows up. You should visit him more. He will definitely change his attitude towards you."
"I will, but I don't know whether he would accept me." Quarmy sighed heavily. "Mom, please don't disturb Monica and Coco in the future. Coco is sick now, and Monica has suffered a lot. Don't make any more trouble to distract her."
Jenny didn't say anything. She had already made up her mind to compete with Monica for Coco. If she agreed, then she had to give up the right of raising Coco. Seeing that Jenny didn't speak, Quarmy knelt down. "Mom, I beg you!" Jenny felt sad. She did everything for her son, but now it seemed that her son didn't appreciate it. She sighed. "Well, I can promise not to disturb Monica, but you must promise me one thing."
"Go ahead."
"Give up on Monica. There are many good women in the world. You should have your own life."
Quarmy was not in the mood to think about this, he just wanted Jenny to stop disturbing Monica. He nodded, "Let's talk about it after Coco is cured."
Jenny had her own reasons to say so. First, Coco was sick, so it was better to let Monica take care of him. Second, Madrigal was pregnant with Quarmy's child so Jenny's desire for getting Coco was not that strong.
The next day, Quarmy bought some food and toys to see Coco, but as soon as he entered, Coco smashed a ball on him. "Liar, bad guy, you are not allowed to come here. Get out!"
Quarmy's heart ached. He tried to comfort Coco, "Coco, Dad brings you what you like..."
"You are not my dad! I don't want your toys! I don't want anything! Go away!"
Xanjer came out when he heard the voice. Seeing this, he shook his head. "Mr. Huo, you'd better not come here. Coco will not forgive you."
Quarmy looked at Coco's angry eyes and sighed in his heart. "Where is Monica?"
"Moni went out to buy vegetables." Xanjer replied.
"Great-uncle, don't talk to this bad liar. Hurry up and drive him out!" Coco pointed at Quarmy, and his face full of anger.
"You'd better leave now. Don't stimulate the child. He can't stand it!"
Quarmy didn't dare to irritate his son, so he turned around and left, ready to wait for Monica outside the house. He stood outside the door for a while. Then, he heard a noise behind him. He turned around and saw Coco take out the things he bought and smash them in front of him. Coco was too young to carry those things. It took him three trips back and forth to get rid of them.
After that, Coco slammed the door. Quarmy smiled bitterly. Coco was really a lot like Monica in character. He squatted down to pick up what Coco had thrown out. Then, a sarcastic voice sounded. "Hey! Mr. Huo? What are you doing outside my house?"
Quarmy turned around and saw Roland standing beside him with. Roland's eyes were full of ridicule. Quarmy did not speak. He picked up the stuff and put it into bags. Then, he reached out to Roland. "Mr. Wang, nice to meet you!"
"Stop! I can't afford it." Roland didn't mean to shake hands with him. "Quarmy, I'm really looking down on you. Are you so eager to compete with Monica for Coco? Coco is your son and he is sick. Don't you think you are really cruel to tell him everything at this time?"
Roland didn't know the whole story, but he heard from Summer that Coco had already known the truth. Monica didn't tell Summer that Mandy had come to her. Summer was hot- tempered. If she knew it, she would definitely tell Roland. Monica didn't want Roland to dislike Mandy for her.
"I didn't tell him!" Quarmy felt that he was wronged. "I never thought about taking him away from Monica."
"Enough, don't explain. Who else can it be if it's not you? Your mother? As far as I know, your mother hasn't fully recovered yet. Stop making excuse." How could Roland believe Quarmy's explanation?
Quarmy smiled bitterly. "It's not my mother, but your fiancee."
"Mandy? How is that possible?" Roland could not believe it.
"That's the truth. Your fiancee came here yesterday, and she told all of this to Coco."
"D*mn it!" Roland's face suddenly changed. Why did he forget how scheming Mandy was? It was indeed possible for her to do such a thing. Roland was going to enter the house, but because of Quarmy's words, he turned around and drove away.
It seemed that Roland was coming to Mandy, but Quarmy didn't have time to care about it. Mandy was the one who caused it. She deliberately told Coco everything for her own interests. Also, she was the one who incited Jenny to bring Coco back. Now that Coco hated Quarmy, how could Quarmy let Mandy go?
Monica came back from shopping and saw Quarmy standing out of the house. There were food and toys on the ground. She immediately knew what was going on. "Coco is mad at you. You'd better not come here for a while."
"Moni, I want to talk to you." Quarmy begged. "About what?" Monica asked.
"Let's talk about Coco and our future."
"Coco doesn't want to see you now. As for us, we are already over." Monica said calmly.
"Moni, I know that you don't want to hear my apologies. What I'm trying to tell you is, let's get back together for the child. We can get married immediately."
"You don't have a fever, do you?"
"No, I've thought this through. Coco hates me so much because he thinks that I abandoned you. I want to change his mind."
"That's why you want to marry me?" Monica smiled playfully. "Quarmy, you really don't have to do that. Coco hates you because he is still young. I will slowly persuade him to forgive you. Although I am ordinary, I will keep my word."
"Is that so? Since you will keep your word, you must have not forgotten what you promised me before, haven't you?" Quarmy retorted. "You promised me that you would give me a chance just for Coco's sake. Now, you've broken your promise."
"You don't know why I broke my promise?" Monica sneered. "I was indeed going to give you a chance, Quarmy, but you're too ridiculous. I don't need to keep my promise to a lying man."
"Moni, the judge will give even a condemned prisoner a chance to appeal. Tell me, what on earth made you leave without hesitation?"
Monica looked at Quarmy for a while and said faintly, "Nothing, it's just your lover Mary called me and said she was having a good time with you."
"It's impossible. I haven't been with Mary. That night, she wanted to treat me to dinner before leaving. I drank a bit, so we hired a designated driver. On the way, I met Madrigal, whose car was broken..." Quarmy told Monica what he remembered that night.
"Did Madrigal send you home?" Monica was stunned.
"I don't remember. My mother said so when I got up in the morning," Quarmy answered, "I have nothing to do with Mary. I never intended to let her be my lover. Moni, since you left, I have never been with any woman. I swear!"
Monica didn't say anything. That night, she called Quarmy. It was Jenny who answered the phone. She was sure that Mary was not with Quarmy. So was it Mary's prank?
She shook her head. "Quarmy, it's a thing of the past. Let's forget about the past. I only care about my son's health now. Nothing else is meaningful."
"Moni, you should be with me for the sake of the child. Coco needs a father. What we need to do now is get together and give him a happy family. Only in this way can he be cured quickly."
Monica smiled bitterly. "Quarmy, it's not that I don't give you a chance but I can't give you a chance. Your mother won't give us a chance either. She hates me so much. Stop dreaming. We'd better just be strangers."
"I've already talked to her. She promised that she wouldn't stop us..." Monica interrupted him. "Quarmy, your mother is never reliable. You'd better not believe her."
"Moni, it's true. You don't have to worry about my mother's reaction. I won't let her affect you." Quarmy said eagerly, "Moni, didn't you want to forget about the past? Let's focus on the future. You are pregnant now. Coco had no father when he was born. You don't want this unborn child to have no father, do you?"
Monica was silent for a long time before she said, "Quarmy, I will find a way to communicate with Coco. He is very disgusted with you now. I will try to persuade him. As for our future, I think we'd better not talk about it now. There are many unknown things in the future. Let's take it one step at a time."
Quarmy had no choice but to keep silent after hearing that. He couldn't push Monica. She had been hurt so badly that she was disheartened. It was impossible for her to easily forgive him. The most urgent thing was to let Coco no longer hate him.
Roland drove to the hotel where Mandy lived. When Mandy saw him, she was very happy. "Roland, what brings you here?"
"Mandy!" Roland stared at her and said word by word, "You never change, do you?"
Seeing that Roland was so angry, Many immediately knew why he was here. Monica must have told him something. Mandy controlled her anger and asked, "What did I do?"
"Why did you tell Coco that Quarmy is his father? Why?" "I just spilled the beans..." Mandy defended herself.
