Quarmy closed the door, grabbed Monica's hand and took her to a room next door.
"Why are you looking for me?" He let go of Monica's hand and asked in a cold voice.
"Did you cause Summer's trouble?" Monica glared at him.
Quarmy ignored Monica's hostility. He casually sat on the sofa, crossed his legs, took out his cigarette and lit it up. "Summer's trouble is her own fault. She can't blame anyone else."
Quarmy could smoke? Monica was a little surprised. She used to say that she hated the smell of cigarettes from men. Quarmy also said that he was not interested in smoking. But now looking at his skilled posture and the smoke ring from his mouth, Monica found that she knew too little about this man.
"Quarmy, you can come at me. What's the point of making things difficult for Summer?"
"Miss Mo, why should I come after you?" He asked with his cold eyes. "I, Quarmy, am clear about grievances. Summer, who had studied abroad, can't even control what she said. I just want her to control herself."
"How can you be so cold- blooded?" Monica controlled her trembling hands because of anger. "If it's because of Summer's wrong words, I'll apologize for her." "You apologize?" Quarmy looked at her playfully with a cold look in his eyes. She could apologize to him for an outsider, but she couldn't be tolerant for his mother. If she wasn't so aggressive at that time and was willing to bow to his mother who was equally tough, everything would not be like this.
"Yes! I apologize. I can apologize to you and your beloved woman. I beg you to let Summer go!" Monica would do anything for Summer.
"It's too late!" Quarmy slightly opened his thin lips, and his tone was still so cold. "Miss Mo, everything has a limit. I gave you a chance."
"You..." Monica glared at him. She had never dreamed that he would say that.
"Do you want to say that how I could be so heartless?" Quarmy chuckled and said more hurtful words. "Monica, I used to spoil you and love you. I gave you endless rights and let you ride on my head, because you were my wife. But now, who do you think you are? Why do you think I will give in to you?"
Monica took a step back. Looking at Quarmy's indifferent face, she smiled bitterly. Yes, who was she now? How could she think that she could make a request from him?
Hadn't she ever experienced his cruelness? He had vowed to love her, but next he went away and betrayed her, letting the pregnant mistress come to provoke her on the wedding anniversary. After the incident was revealed, he informed her through the lawyer to move out without any explanation...
Was there any man in this world being so cruel like him? And so heartless like him?
She really didn't change her nature. She even imagined that she could succeed asking for a favor from him. Monica looked at the man on the sofa and said, "Quarmy Huo, you are right. It's my fault. I am indeed nobody for you! I really regret all the history that I had with you! If I could turn back time, I will never let myself be so stupid!"
She shouted out the last sentence and did not care about Quarmy's reaction. Monica opened the door and left. She almost ran out of the Flourishing Age all the way. The night wind was slightly cold outside. She did not know why but her eyes were moist.
