Every Breath You Take novel Chapter 37

Yale and her daughter were anxiously thinking of a solution, but Zoe went straight to Monica after work. Because Roland's company had won the bid, Monica had a kind attitude toward him. She did not object to his proposal of having dinner together.

After dinner, Zoe sent Monica home. Looking at the small apartment where she lived, Zoe thought of the luxurious house where he lived. He was a little sad, so he proposed to let her move back.

Monica was in a good mood, but when she heard his words, she was immediately pissed off. "Mayor Jane, forget it."

"Moni, I know that you have suffered a lot these years. What happened in the past is my fault. If I could do it all over again, I would never make that mistake. I have regretted for so many years for this matter. Moni, please forgive me!"

"I won't forgive you!" Monica sneered. "Mayor Jane, don't waste your time. Off you go. Today is our last meeting. Please never appear in my life again."

Zoe did not expect Monica to be so angry. "Moni!" Seeing Monica was about to leave, he reached out to hold her hand anxiously.

"Let her go!" A voice suddenly sounded. Before Zoe could react, he was pushed to the ground. Seeing that, Zoe's driver jumped out.

"Are you alright, mayor?" "I'm fine!1' Zoe answered. The driver was tall and strong. He was relieved to hear that the mayor was fine, but he didn't intend to let go of Roland. He reached out to grab him, but Zoe quickly stopped him.

Roland didn't appreciate it. He was in a good mood today. After winning the bid, he took all the people to the hotel to have a feast. After that, he found Monica was not there. Beck told him that she was not feeling well and went home early.

Roland felt unease, so he asked Beck to take everyone to the carnival, and he drove to Monica's house.

When he arrived, he saw Zoe's car driving into the hall. When he saw Zoe, he was shocked.
