"You're the illegitimate son!" Monica interrupted him.
"If you're not an illegitimate daughter, why nobody knows the relationship between you and Mayor Jane?" Roland asked.
"This has nothing to do with you, so don't ask." Monica didn't have the patience to explain this to him.
Roland suddenly remembered something. "Monica, no wonder you know so many inside stories about the bidding. Did Zoe tell you that?"
"Yes." Monica nodded. "Roland, I've already helped you to get what you want. You have to keep the relationship between me and Zoe a secret. You'd better not let the third one know."
"No way!" Roland answered firmly with an evil smile on his face.
"Why?"
"If you want me to keep it a secret, you have to promise me one thing." Roland was insatiable.
Monica had a headache. Roland, the playboy, did not play according to common sense at all. D*mn, he got her. "Promise what? Roland, I warn you not to be insatiable!"
"Monica, it's easy. If you promise to be my girlfriend, I won't say anything."
"Is there anything wrong with your brain?" "No, I'm serious." Roland smiled and said, "I have a big mouth, and I can't keep the news from others. But if you're my girlfriend, it's different. I will protect you and not reveal our family's scandal."
"Do you want me to be your girlfriend because Zoe is the mayor?"
"Of course not." Roland denied. "You are my cup of tea. You know that I'm always immune to beautiful women."
His honest words made Monica's headache even more. This playboy's obsession with beautiful women was beyond the imagination of ordinary people. But if he knew that she was divorced and had children, he would definitely give up on her. So she said, "Roland, I am a divorced woman. Don't you mind that?"
