"You're still pretending to be confused?" Quarmy grabbed her shoulder forcefully. "Monica, since you did it, admit it. Do you need someone else to remind you about what you've done?"
"Quarmy, I don't need you to remind me what I've done. I, Monica, didn't do anything wrong. If you think I'm smearing you, you can sue me!" Monica rarely saw Quarmy lose his temper, so Summer must have done something big.
She could not let Quarmy know that it was done by Summer. Quarmy was not an easy person to bully. If he knew it, he would definitely not spare Summer. She had to take all the responsibility.
"How can you be so self- righteous?" Quarmy gnashed his teeth in anger and continued to press hard. "You hurt me!" Monica cried out in pain. "Quarmy, let's talk this through. Take your dirty hands away!"
Quarmy saw her frown and let her go. Monica stretched out her hand and stroked her aching shoulder. He stared at her with his deep eyes. "Monica, did you take part in the blind date program just for attacking me?"
"Attack you?" Monica was a little amused. "Quarmy, aren't you overestimating yourself? Do you think that I am the kind of person who can't afford to let go? I tell you, I have my own bottom line in doing things. Even if I die, I will never have the slightest interest in a man who once cheated on and hurt me. Don't worry about that!"
This was the first time she had said to Quarmy in person that he had cheated on her. Back then, when Madrigal was having a miscarriage in the hospital, Quarmy brought his lawyer home to divorce her. Without a single word, she agreed. Quarmy had thought that she had never cared about it.
After three years, when he heard it from her, he felt very complicated. He controlled himself and said, "Monica, I, Quarmy, have never hurt you. I'm telling you, I didn't cheat on you! I didn't have any relationship with Madrigal!"
"What's the point of talking about this now?" Monica sneered. Madrigal used to carry his child and he still dared to say that. Did he think that she was a fool?
"I'm not lying! Monica, if you have a little more trust in me, how can we become like this? I tell you, we are not innocent in the whole thing. The most innocent one is Madrigal. She's suffered more than she should have!"
Hearing that, Monica suddenly got angry. Innocent? If Madrigal was innocent, there was no guilty person in the world.
Madrigal clearly knew that Quarmy was her husband, she still wanted to carry his child. She was one of the cheapest women in the world, just like her mother. It was easy to imagine how much Quarmy had been deceived when he spoke up for that b*tch. He should love Madrigal very much! Monica felt a stab in her heart. It was hard for her to calm herself down.
"Quarmy, did you come to me just to clear your mistress's name? You seem to have found the wrong person. I'm just telling the truth. If you have the ability to shut netizens up, you don't need to come to me. What's more, it's no use."
"How can you be so cold-blooded? Are you still the Monica I know?"
"Just mind your own business. It has nothing to do with you whether I am cold-blooded or not. For me, Monica, you are just a thing of the past!" Quarmy clearly saw the sarcasm on her face. Her words stimulated him. He reached out his hand and held her chin. "You sharp-tongued woman, don't regret it!"
"What do you want to do?" Monica was shocked by this ambiguous posture. He had always been an animal to her before. Was he going be an animal again?
"You'll know soon!" He fiercely approached her. The two of them were so close to each other that Monica was freaked out. She reached out her hand to block him. "Stay away from me!"
