Skylar simply hugged his neck in silence.

The next morning, she awoke in Tobias' arms after being jolted up by a vibrating phone. After opening her eyes, she closed them back in a daze, unwilling to wake up. As for Tobias, he felt for the phone and realized that it was only six in the morning.

His raspy voice still carried a tinge of exhaustion.

“Skylar, when are you coming over to the set? We are filming the last scene today, and I told you to come over here at five-thirty. What are you doing?”

“She's still sleeping.” Tobias glanced at the sleeping Skylar. “Is it necessary to yell at her? Next time, you should be more polite when speaking to my girl.”

Suddenly, Skylar became fully awake and noticed that Tobias was holding her phone. The pink phone cover and his chiseled features were just jarring opposites.

Not wearing anything, she pulled up her blanket to cover herself and took the phone from his hand.

When Skylar answered her call, Tobias didn't interrupt. Instead, he leaned down to pick up the pieces of tissue on the floor and binned them before tying the garbage bag up.

Recalling the look in Madelyn's eyes when she cleaned the room made him feel especially awkward.

Meanwhile, after hearing Kate's warm and friendly voice, Skylar apologized for having overslept and promised to head over at once.

Kate's tone was gentle. “Don't rush. You can come over after breakfast. Please tell Mr. Ford not to misunderstand. I spoke in a harsh tone earlier because I was anxious that you would be late.”
