Chapter 664 What A Waste
Tobias did not have a clue about the type of medication Skylar required. A young pharmacist was on duty at the first twenty-four-hour drugstore he found.
She was sprawled over the counter, asleep when he walked in. At the sound of the heavy footsteps, the pharmacist's eyelids opened blearily.
As she yawned, her eyes found the man's face before snapping into focus. Every trace of fatigue disappeared in an instant.
Oh my, look at those strapping shoulders and razor-sharp cheekbones! Our children are going to be heartbreakers.
“Can I help you?” she mumbled as she fidgeted with a strand of her hair, blushing slightly.
Tobias closed his eyes before slowly opening them again. He felt uncomfortable with the errand Skylar had him run. It would have been so much less awkward if it were a guy or an older lady. Why do I have to explain my situation to a young girl?
“What do you have for women with swollen... parts?”
The young pharmacist's illusion was shattered. That's it. He just made his status known loud and clear.
“How did it happen? Delivery, miscarriage, or intercourse?” she asked.
“The last one,” Tobias muttered.
I can't believe I'm being interrogated by a young woman about my sex life at this hour.
The young pharmacist let out a massive sigh. Pulling herself together just in time, she hastened to resume an air of professionalism.
