Chapter 680 What Happened To Your Arm
Colleen fell silent, thinking that Skylar's words were rather difficult to take in.
Thomas looked visibly worried, but he wasn't concerned about the injury on Skylar's arm. He didn't even ask her about it.
He said, “It's best not to tell Tobias about this. Whatever happens within the family stays within the family. I'll be sure to deal with Avery.”
Skylar narrowed her eyes at him. “You're scared, aren't you? You're afraid you wouldn't be able to go back to Quest Group because of this.”
Thomas couldn't deny that. Quest Group was the result of all his years of hard work. The business may have failed, but he refused to accept the fact that the company had no place for him.
“I'll make sure Avery apologizes to you,” he said softly. “This is a family matter. We'll take care of things on our own.”
Skylar held Charles' photo and smirked. “If you don't want me to tell anyone, fine. Get your precious daughter married in front of my eyes. You know what Tobias is like. If he finds out I've been hurt, he might just do something to frame Avery as a criminal. She could even be accused of murder. When that happens, everyone's going to know that there's a murderer in the Jones family.”
Hearing that, Thomas gritted his teeth in anguish. “I'll make Avery agree to it.”
Colleen wiped her flowing tears with a handkerchief. My poor granddaughter. How could such a thing happen?
The man in that photo is absolutely hideous! And from the way he looks, he must have a horrible temper. How could anyone ever marry him?
Avery sat on the edge of the bed shaking in anger. Unable to contain her emotions any longer, she let out a loud scream.
Hayden thought back to what Skylar had just said. She most likely already knows what I did with the company's money.
She's got dirt on me now.
He stood next to the bed with one hand in his pocket. His eyes were filled with pity for his younger sister, but there was nothing he could do to protect his family.
