Ms. Simmons popped out of the kitchen and immediately said, "Kya, come to Auntie. He has been holding you for hours. His arms must be aching."

"It's okay, you keep preparing Kya's meal, I'll hold her a bit longer."

Kya seemed more energetic after waking up, and Charlie's tone softened.

"Alright, the food is nearly ready. I'll bring it over soon," Ms. Simmons responded before turning back to the kitchen.

"Does your arm hurt, Uncle?" Kya reached out to touch Charlie's hand and leaned in, "I'll blow on it. Mommy says that makes it feel better!"

"How are you so smart, remembering what Mommy says?" Charlie helped her sit on his lap, "Tell me, how old are you this year?"

Kya extended her right hand, pressed down her thumb, ring finger and little finger with her left hand, leaving only two fingers. She looked at her hand and joyfully told Charlie,

"I'm two!"

"Awesome!" Charlie praised her, nodding his head, "And what's your name?"

"Kya!" Kya replied, nodding her head. Her seriousness made her look exceptionally adorable.

Ms. Simmons chuckled, "Kya, it's time to eat."

Charlie didn't really have anything else to ask her and he carried her towards the dining room.

The dining room was small and Charlie's tall figure looked particularly conspicuous.

Ms. Simmons took Kya from Charlie and set her down on her high chair, smiling, "This is all Kya's favorite food. What do you want to eat first?"

Kya took the spoon and looked at Charlie, "Feed me."
