Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1195

The MacClain family's fortune was all Carmella's!

"Carmella, you gotta know, the greedy always end up in a bad way. You’ve got to pay back every debt you owe." Estelle's face turned serious.

"What debt?" Carmella looked puzzled.

Estelle turned toward the bookshelf and said, "Victor, you can come out now."

Victor had been hiding behind the bookshelf, shocked by what he was hearing. Estelle had always stressed that they had no connection. He thought Estelle was just blowing him off and didn't expect it to be true. Estelle wasn't his sister after all. It was the woman in front of him, Carmella, who was his real sister. From their conversation, he learned that Carmella was adopted by a wealthy family. Deep down, Victor was thrilled. He felt like he was about to hit the jackpot.

Carmella was surprised to see Victor emerge from behind the bookshelf and asked, "Who are you?"

Victor looked back at her, realizing she did indeed resemble his birth mother. He couldn't recall what his parents looked like, but he had a family photo. Carmella looked very much like the woman in the picture. The photo was taken when he was two, without Estelle. After his parents died, someone put the photo in his pocket when he and Estelle were sent to the orphanage. He had kept the photo ever since. So, it was a no-brainer; the woman in front of him was his real sister.

"I'm Victor, your brother!" Victor said it excitedly.

"What?" Carmella went from shocked to panicked. "I don't know you!"

"You wouldn't know me. You were adopted right after you were born." Victor looked excited and said, "We finally met. Mom and dad would be so happy."

Carmella looked at Victor fearfully. She knew she was originally a Brown. When the McClain's found Estelle, they also learned about her background. The Browns had a son, who later disappeared from the orphanage. Back then, she was relieved that her biological parents were dead, so she couldn't go back to that family. She could stay a MacClain. But now, how did Victor suddenly appear?

"I really am your brother!" Victor's eyes filled with excitement as he moved closer to Carmella.

"Who's your sister?" Carmella jumped up, glaring at Victor with disgust. "I'm not your sister; Estelle is. I have nothing to do with you."

Victor knew the score. From their conversation, he understood Estelle was broke and not favored, while Carmella was the wealthy one. More importantly, he and Carmella were the real deal—blood-related. He could ask her for money, no problem.

So, he almost instantly decided to stick to Carmella like glue—now a successful woman, transformed from a nobody!
