Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1198

Victor said, "My parents raised Estelle for four years, but two years ago, she gave me a chunk of change and cut me off!"

Carmella asked coldly, "What are you getting at?"

"If Estelle could fork over four grand, how much do you reckon you owe me?" Victor's eyes lit up with greed.

"If I pay you, will you leave me alone?" Carmella gritted her teeth.

"No sweat; just pay me and I'll be out of your hair," Victor replied instantly.

"How much do you want?" Carmella asked icily.

Victor, with a calculating look, ventured, "How about ten grand?"

"Fine, I'll transfer it to you now. But once you get the money, you leave the crew immediately and never show your face to me again!" Carmella said sternly.

Victor thought to himself, 'Fat chance!' He'd finally bagged a sugar mama; there's no way he'd let her go that easily!

But of course, he couldn't say that out loud, so he agreed, "Deal, you pay me, and I'm gone."

Victor's eyes sparkled. He'd thrown out the ten-grand figure as a shot in the dark, but Carmella had agreed without batting an eye. She must be loaded!

There's no way he's letting her go now!

He was thrilled to bits, thinking he was on the verge of hitting the jackpot!

Carmella transferred ten grand to Victor, saying sternly, "Quit right away; I don't want to see you again!"

Victor, seeing the money in his account and barely containing his excitement, grinned, "I'm leaving right now!"

As he turned to quit his job with the crew, he looked back and said, "Carmella, I'll come see you when I have the time!"
