Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1201

Charlie gave a slight nod, then marched off into his office.

As he stepped in, his eyes swept over the woman sitting on the sofa. Her face was gentle, but there was a cold aloofness about her. "Ms. Waters, what brings you here?" he asked.

Waters looked at him with a soft gaze. "It's been a while since we last met; didn't you miss me even a little bit?"

Charlie took off his suit jacket and draped it over the leather chair. He lit up a cigarette. The smoke blurred the coldness in his eyes. "Waters, we're adults; no need to play these head games. I don't like you, and there's no point in you wasting your time on me."

A shadow of deep pain crossed Waters' eyes. She chuckled softly. "So, is there anyone that you do like?"

Charlie paused, knocked off some ash, and looked down. "No."

"Then I still have a chance!" Waters laughed softly, but her determination was unmistakable.

Charlie chuckled. "You know me, if I liked a woman even a little bit, I'd give it a go. I've been rejecting you for two years; you should take the hint."

Waters raised an eyebrow. "But you haven't had any other women in your life in the past two years, have you?"

Charlie seemed a bit irritated. "You're smart; don't you know that being too clingy is a turn-off and it only makes you look desperate?"

"I don't care if you're annoyed; I just fear you ignoring me!" Waters boldly sat on the giant mahogany desk, leaning forward with her alluring gaze fixed on the man.

Charlie laughed. "How do you think you look?"

Waters spun her eyes around, confident, "Absolutely perfect!"

Charlie replied, "Yes, perfect; very attractive to men, but I'm not interested at all. Isn't that ignoring you?"

The color drained from Waters' face. She was about to say something when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Charlie called.
