Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1310

Emily dropped her head, murmuring, "I can't forgive her for what she did, but I understand why she did it. She just didn't want Martin to marry a woman with a lot of baggage, which is understandable. But she misunderstood, so let's just let it slide."

Charlie scoffed, "Who does her son think he is? I'm going to show her that it's her son who doesn't deserve you; you're not someone she can mess with!"

"Also, stop putting yourself down and making me upset. If I'm not happy, they're going to have hell to pay!"

Emily's heart skipped a beat, but before she could react to his words, Charlie went on, "Whether it's my personal assistant or any employee of my company, no one can bully them!"

Emily's heart settled a bit.

Charlie continued, "You don't need to worry about this; leave it to me. I'll have someone keep an eye on them; they won't bother you again."

"Charlie!" Emily called out his name, taking a deep breath. "Let it go; I don't want anything to do with Martin anymore; let's just end it here!"

This time, Charlie paused for a moment.

Emily whispered, "Can we do that?"

Charlie suddenly quieted down, realizing that a gentle word from Emily could ease all his unhappiness.

After a while, Charlie said softly, "Okay, I'll listen to you this time."

Emily's heart raced, whispering, "Thank you!"

"Go keep Kya company!"

Charlie hung up the phone. Standing on the balcony of the private room at Blue Oasis, he suddenly felt as if he realized something; his mood was a bit heavy.
