Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 133

She sent him a message at night, and it wasn't until noon the next day that he received the transfer, but he didn't text her back.

Magdalen had some free time that day, so she took her to The Hungry Spoon to try some new dishes.

Unexpectedly, they ran into Manley when they were leaving. Manley and some friends were there for a meal, and seeing her, he unabashedly walked over, smiling, "Are you having lunch with friends?"

Her sported a fresh addition to his style—a shiny silver earring adorning his left ear.

The new accessory added an extra touch of allure to his already charmingly rebellious and mischievous look. Magdalen couldn't help but grin, breaking the moment by declaring, "You guys can chat. I'll catch up with my friend for a little while."

In a hushed tone, Estelle responded, "I'll be waiting for you in the lobby." "Sure thing!" Magdalen waved goodbye and departed first.

"How come you and Magdalen are good friends?" Manley raised an eyebrow. "I've always been curious."

Estelle asked indifferently, "Do you need anything?"

Manley chuckled softly, his playful gaze fixated on her. "Well, since you're my public girlfriend, shouldn't I be allowed to chat with you for no reason?" His flirtatious demeanor added a touch of charm to his words. He continued, his eyes scanning her appreciatively, "By the way, I hope you weren't harmed by Lucille's people last time. With your impressive skills, I doubt they could have laid a finger on you. Rumor has it that they ended up getting beaten so badly that even their own mothers wouldn't recognize them. My girlfriend is absolutely amazing!"

Seeing him bringing it up, she asked, "What did you do to Lucille?"

Manley's eyes flashed, and he slowly smiled. "She tried to hurt my girlfriend, what do you think I could do to her? Just made her leave the country and never come back!"

"Isn't she your cousin from your aunt's family?" Estelle asked.

"Yeah, so?" Manley's voice was playful but half-serious. "What's a cousin compared to a girlfriend? She was causing you trouble, of course I'd protect you and sacrifice her!"

Estelle, knowing Manley's tendency for exaggerated compliments, didn't take his words to heart. She responded with a light tone, making it clear that she didn't take his flattery seriously. "Oh, come on. You didn't have to go that far. I don't want to feel like I owe you anything."

Manley couldn't help but laugh, showing a somewhat sad expression, and sighed, "Do I look like a really bad person? What heinous things have I done that made you hate me so much?"
