Jonathan misunderstood Estelle's "circle" as her classmates from University of J City, so he did not question her further.

Elsewhere, Sophia got into the car and noticed Jason's emotionless face. She curiously asked, "Are you upset?"

Jason squinted, "What?"

"I mean, seeing Estelle with a boyfriend, does it upset you?" Sophia asked with a popcorn-eating grin.

Jason frowned. He knew Sophia always assumed he had feelings for Estelle, so he did not bother to explain much, just turned his head away.

The dim car light illuminated his indifferent profile, casting a somewhat gloomy shadow.

"What's the point of being upset when you didn't chase after her?" Sophia dropped her teasing demeanor and looked a bit sympathetic towards Jason, "Regretting it now is too late!"

Jason looked downcast and slowly said, "What's the point of chasing someone who doesn't like me?"

"How do you know there won't be a result if you don't try?" Sophia disagreed.

Jason gave a self-deprecating smile, "She's with him now, all I hope is that she's happy."

Hearing this, Sophia emotionally said, "Now that’s real love. I can't do it. I only have a selfish love. I like Robin, and I must chase after him!"

Jason glanced at her. Under the dim neon lights, his eyes flickered with complex emotions that quickly faded.
