Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 14

"Huh?" Estelle got a little confused and quickly said, "I didn't laugh!"

Jonathan raised his eyebrows, "Are you afraid of me? You're Norah's classmate and Henson's tutor, you can call me ‘Uncle’ just like them. I'm always kind and gentle to the younger ones."

Estelle wanted to laugh even more, but pretended to be calm and nodded, "Alright."

Jonathan's gaze swept across her face, and he looked forward again, speaking, "If you bump into Lucille again, just ignore her."

Estelle looked innocent, "She was blocking my way."

Jonathan said, "Aren't you good at kicking people?"

Estelle raised her eyebrows, "I can kick Ms. Hammer too?"

Jonathan's voice was emotionless, "Of course, you can kick her and I'll handle the consequences!"

Handle the consequences?

Estelle slightly raised one eyebrow. This sentence revealed his previous way of handling things!

Jonathan was probably afraid that she would overthink, so he added, "After all, I was the one who caused trouble for you, so naturally, I should deal with it."

Estelle looked at the man's exquisite jaw. Was he implying she could do whatever she wanted?

There was a moment of silence in the car, and then Jonathan asked, "How much money do you want from me?"

Estelle was taken aback but quickly understood. She had asked Lucille if she would offer more money. She replied calmly, "Norah said it's a thousand per class, and if my salary is paid by Mr. Lamont, you have to pay me 8,000 a month."

Jonathan nodded, "Then you made quite a deal asking for a billion!"

Indeed, even if Estelle tutored Henson until he went to college, she wouldn't earn a billion.

Estelle smiled in disappointment, "It's a pity,"

The man asked, "What's the pity?"

"It's a pity that Ms. Hammer didn't give it up."

Jonathan paused for a moment, "......"

He realized that Estelle was mocking him for not being worth a billion dollars. She was indeed a grudge-holding and sharp-tongued girl who wouldn't miss any opportunity to make fun of him.

Estelle turned to look at the scenery outside the window, a slight smile forming at the corner of her lips, inexplicably in a good mood.

...

On Monday, there was a bustling crowd at the entrance of the University of J City, with people coming and going.

In a Maybach, Lucille sat in the back seat, staring outside until she spotted Estelle, she immediately turned to the man next to her and said, "It's her, Estelle, a third-year student studying Business Management at the University of J City."

The man looked up, followed Lucille's direction, and saw the girl at a glance.

She was wearing a simple white shirt, light-colored jeans with rolled-up cuffs, and white shoes underneath.

What caught people's eyes was not her attractive features but her cleanliness, giving off a feeling of innocent at first glance.

Maybe others would be amazed, but not Manley Scott, who had seen countless beauties. He just gave a cold smile and said, "It's Monday, I have an important meeting in the morning. Did you pull me here just to see a girl?"

Lucille didn't waste any words either and said directly, "Get her, and I'll give up the two percent of shares that the Scott family offers."

Lucille is the daughter of Manley's aunt. The Scott family's old man left a will, and two percent of the shares would be given to Lucille, his granddaughter, after he died.

The two percent was worth hundreds of billions.

Manley's handsome face finally showed a hint of astonishment, and he looked at the girl again, raising a disapproving eyebrow, "Is she worth that much money?"

Lucille's beautiful face showed determination, "Will you do it or not?"
