Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 183

At 10 o'clock, the dinner party ended. Mr. and Mrs. Schilder, who had been on the road all day, went back to their room to rest after the meal. Jonathan didn't arrange any other activities either.

Back at the villa, Estelle was still thinking about Winnie's words and her sad face at the time.

Jonathan held her in his arms, gently kissing her neck. His voice was deep from the alcohol. "What are you thinking about?"

Estelle clutched his shirt and said, "You didn't tell me Mr. Schilder would be bringing his wife! I should've prepared a gift too."

She couldn't help but feel that Baldrick seemed to be extra active and trying to please Schilder hardly.

With an indifferent and proud tone, Jonathan said, "Schilder controls the technology, but I control the domestic market. We're working together for mutual benefit. There's no need for you to please him!"

"But..." Estelle didn't know if she should mention her concerns about Baldrick.

Before she could finish, Jonathan's lips were on hers, and he carried her towards the bathroom.

For the next two days, Jonathan had been discussing business with Schilder while Estelle and Winnie accompanied Mrs. Macy. It was obvious that Winnie and Mrs. Macy got along even better since Baldrick would often take her to business trips - she was very skilled in handling such matters.

Although Jonathan was busy, he still took the time every morning to pick out clothes for Estelle, apply sunscreen for her, have breakfast with her, and occasionally take her horseback riding or teach her golf.

Perhaps being away from familiar surroundings made Jonathan even more attentive to Estelle.

Estelle felt increasingly ashamed, as if everyone else was on the battlefield. Winnie was working hard to support Baldrick, but Estelle couldn't do much for Jonathan and instead, she was receiving his attention and care.

One afternoon, Estelle and Winnie accompanied Mrs. Macy back to the place where she and Schilder were staying. As the three had their afternoon tea in the sunroom, Estelle found her coffee too bitter and put it down after only one sip.

She had a sweet tooth and couldn't stand bitterness.
