Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1868

Jonathan ran his hand through Estelle's hair and planted a gentle kiss atop her head, nudging Mike, the driver, to pick up the pace.

Mike thought to himself that, given the city traffic, he was doing the best he could.

But when the boss gives you an order, you don't argue. All you can do is to deploy every driving trick in the book and weave through the traffic like a pro.

Once they arrived at the Bright Commercial Center, Jonathan didn't bother to wake Estelle. He simply scooped her up and carried her out of the car.

A gift box slipped from her grip, but he caught it without a second thought and took it up with them.

Once getting inside the apartment and closing the door behind them, Jonathan had no reservations left.

He sat Estelle on the entryway cabinet, his fingers tracing her slender waist as their kiss deepened with urgency.

Estelle was exhausted. It wasn't just Jonathan who had been losing sleep these past ten days. After chatting all night with Magdalen and being rudely awakened at dawn, she'd only managed three hours of shut-eye. The lack of rest throughout the day had taken its toll.

She kissed him back with eyes fluttered closed, not wanting to push him away but also reluctant to emerge from the fog of sleepiness. Languid and charming in her drowsiness, she lingered in that haziness like a dozing cat.

In the darkness, Jonathan's breathing grew heavier with each breath; his longing had been suppressed for so many days.

As the temperature climbed, Jonathan reached to unbutton his shirt, and tossed Estelle's coat aside.

When his hand lifted her skirt, Estelle finally snapped awake, placing her hands on his shoulders, "Jonathan!"

Her voice was soft, and Jonathan paused in his breathing, fixing his eyes on hers in the dark, his voice low and controlled, "I'm here. Want something to eat? I could whip something up for you."

Estelle took a deep breath to steady herself, "I'm not hungry. Go take a shower. I'll take my braid out."

"I'll help you," Jonathan said, carrying her toward the bedroom.

Estelle nestled into his neck, "I can do it myself. You go start the water."

Jonathan kissed her cheek, and said in a husky voice, "Okay, we'll act separately to save time."

Knowing he'd misunderstood, Estelle felt her ears warming, but she didn't refute him.

Once in the bedroom, Jonathan flicked on the light and set Estelle down before planting a firm kiss on her lips, "Hurry up!"
