Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1916

Lambert’s face shifted swiftly, his eyes betraying a flicker of alarm. “You know about it?”

“Every detail!” came the retort.

Indeed, Lambert had probed into Stella’s death, but her demise had been shrouded in secrecy within their inner circle, and he wasn’t exactly a regular in the mercenary haunts.

After Stella passed away, it was as though she had been erased from existence, leaving no trace behind. Despite his efforts, Lambert had come up empty-handed.

Years had passed, yet the mystery around her death remained an unresolved knot in his heart.

It seemed Raiden not only understood the events of the past but had also managed to dig up a thorough dossier on him.

Lambert squinted at Raiden, suddenly realizing that this man was indeed formidable.

When Lambert returned to the villa, Estelle was still awake.

She had just finished a video call with Jonathan and was about to go downstairs for a glass of water when she saw Lambert enter. She was surprised at his early return.

Lambert smiled at her, “What, you knew I was coming back and decided to wait for me?”

“I was thirsty!” Estelle uttered simply, heading to the kitchen.

She grabbed a bottle of ice-cold water and offered it to Lambert, “Want some?”

Lambert shook his head, “I’m good, I have stomach-ache.”

“Then get some sleep early!” Estelle replied, taking her water upstairs.

“Hey!” Lambert called after her with a helpless chuckle, “I say I’m not feeling well, and you don’t even care?”

Estelle glanced back at him, “I’m responsible for your personal safety. A stomach-ache won’t kill you; it’s not within my job description!”

Lambert was speechless.

As Estelle’s figure disappeared around the corner of the staircase, he quirked an eyebrow. Such a heartless yet fascinating bodyguard; he had to admit, he was rather fond of her.
