Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 208

Jonathan was squatting in front of the flowers, collecting pollen with a tool. Seeing her come over, he laughed, "Didn't I tell you to go to sleep?"

Estelle poured the sweet soup into a bowl, "I was about to sleep, but then I smelled the sweet soup being cooked in the kitchen, and I got hungry."

She handed the sweet soup to Jonathan, "Try it, do you like it?"

Jonathan took a sip and nodded, "Mmm, it's delicious."

He casually joked, "The Jarvis family's taste sure suits you well!"

Estelle held the bowl and calmly said, "Well, I guess that's just how they roll in C City."

In the early morning, the couple headed to their respective rooms. Jonathan tightly held Estelle's hand as they walked together. "I've checked, the bed is spacious enough for both of us."

The slumbering parrot nearby was jolted awake, swiftly turning its head. Its small red eyes fixated on them, resembling infrared lasers.

Estelle glanced at the parrot and whispered, "It's not appropriate, we're staying in someone else's house."

Jonathan chuckled, "I didn't say we'd do anything, I just don't want you to feel scared in a strange place."

Estelle scoffed in her heart. Nice try, but Jonathan would never control himself once they hit the bed!

"I'm not scared. Isn't it guarding us outside?" Estelle looked at the parrot, half-jokingly.

The parrot let out a squawk, "Not scared, not scared! We fear nothing, only deceitful men!"

Jonathan's eyes narrowed as he glanced at the bird, scoffing, "Say another word, and I'll silence you!"

"You wouldn't dare! You wouldn't dare!" The parrot flapped its wings defiantly, challenging him.

"Shh!" Estelle placed a finger to her lips, gesturing for silence. "Everyone else is asleep. Please keep it down."

The parrot closed its beak, turned away, and paid no further attention to Jonathan.

Jonathan couldn't help but laugh, "This thing is just like a person!"
