Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 2105

"Ugh, I just woke up from a nap!" Sylvia stretched languorously, a contented smile spreading across her face.

Her tone was so open and frank that Magdalen didn't probe further, merely asking, "How was your lunch date?"

There was a brief pause before Sylvia chuckled, "Seems like we weren't a good match."

Gabriel propped himself up against the headboard, observing the girl on the phone. She had her back to him, draped in a bathrobe, her laughter tinkling through the conversation about a mismatched date.

"Not a good match?" Magdalen sounded disappointed, "What happened? You didn't like him, or he didn't like you?"

Sylvia's voice was teasing as she replied, "Neither."

"You didn't even watch the opera?"

"Nope!"

"My friend's brother might be a few years older than you, but he looks young for his age. Plus, he's got this cool vibe going on. It's not about you, but if you're interested, I think you guys could click!" Magdalen persisted.

"He's a great guy!" Sylvia's smile was tender and warm, "It just wasn't right."

Magdalen huffed slightly, "Then give me the scoop, why weren't you two a fit? Don't brush me off!"

Sylvia hesitated before her soft laughter filled the room, "I prefer someone with a gentle nature."

Gabriel frowned unconsciously in the dim light. Gentle nature?

"Alright then!" Magdalen conceded, knowing you can't force these things, "I'll introduce you to someone else if someone suitable comes along."

"That'd be great!" Sylvia replied cheerfully, "Thanks!"

"No problem!"

After ending the call, Sylvia returned to the bedroom, where Gabriel was buttoning up his shirt.

She approached to help him, her delicate, fair fingers skillfully working the dark buttons, a sight that was particularly pleasant to the eye.
