Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 303

Charlie nodded, "Alright!"

Dr. Martin continued, "She would be soon out of fever, and she might sweat a lot. Mr. James, you can prepare a warm towel to help wipe her."

"Got it!"

Before leaving, Dr. Martin reminded Charlie about how to take the medicine and remove the IV needle, and Charlie kept all of it in mind.

The room was quiet again. Charlie sat by the bed, covering Emily with a blanket. She was sleeping deeply, her long eyelashes casting a calm shadow on her face.

So quiet, it was almost unnerving.

Charlie waited for the IV drip to finish, then sat on the nearby sofa to rest his eyes.

He felt like he had just closed his eyes when he heard some movement on the bed. He slowly opened his eyes, and there was a moment of grogginess, which then turned into surprise.

Emily's fever started to subside after getting the IV, and she was sweating heavily. She was cozily tucked in by Charlie and must have been uncomfortable, so she squirmed a bit and then just lifted her hand and removed the blanket.

She wasn't wearing anything and was not fully conscious. With her eyes closed, she groaned in discomfort.

Charlie took a deep breath, stood up, and held her shoulder, fearing her movements might dislodge the needle in her left arm. A layer of sweat on the girl's delicate skin shimmered in the dim light of the room.

Charlie only took a glance and then quickly looked away towards the IV. The scene was unavoidably making him feel a bit restless.

Honestly, he never had any inappropriate thoughts about Emily, but he was a man, after all!

He calmed down a bit, remembering Dr. Martin's instructions, and covered Emily again with the blanket. Then he went to the bathroom to fetch a warm towel.
