Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 315

Lindsey sneered, "Are you saying she's not your cousin?"

"Of course not!" Noreen looked at Emily with contempt. "How could my cousin be a delivery girl?"

Emily stood there, having dealt with difficult customers at the dessert shop where she worked. But she felt unusually embarrassed being here in front of Charlie.

She lowered her head and said quietly, "I'm not Ms. Shenton's cousin. You got the wrong person. Can I go now?"

Charlie flashed a smile and turned to Nora, asking, "Are you feeling better now? Should we let her off the hook?"

Nora responded with a playful pout, "Fine, I'm in a good mood today. I won't bother with her."

Charlie affectionately remarked, "Our Nora is truly kind-hearted!"

Nora playfully flirted, tilting her head with a captivating smile, and replied, "Oh, I'm just a soft-hearted person!"

Charlie chuckled and pushed her hand away, turning to walk towards Emily.

Nora's smile faded, puzzled as she watched him approach Emily.

He walked right up to Emily, tilted his head, and asked, "Have you been crying?"

Emily looked up, her eyes welled with tears, "No."

Charlie affectionately patted Nora on the head. "Silly girl, couldn't you see they were bullying you? If you encounter someone like this again, just splash your drink in their face. It's just a job, right? If you lose it, so be it. I'm here, I won't let you be unemployed."

Emily didn't feel wronged, but tears welled up in her eyes. She quickly lowered her gaze.

Everyone else was taken aback. Nora looked at Charlie and asked cautiously, "Charlie, do you know her?"

The smile on Charlie's face faded. "She's like my little sister."

Nora was speechless, unable to find the right words to respond.
